Question: What should I pack?
Answer: There’s a saying in Albert that goes “If you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes.” The point is, that things change and they can change quickly. While a majority of the time the weather is absolutely beautiful, it can change and it’s important to be prepared. Pack layers of course so if you need a coat or sweater, you have one and then pack for warmer weather as well. Be sure to bring riding pants and cowboy boots if you wish to ride. Helmets are not required for adults but for sure bring one if you’d like to wear one. We have various sizes of helmets for children.
Question: Do you offer Gluten Free meals or vegan options?
Answer: Absolutely! Just let us know that when you book your vacation, and we can accommodate all your diet needs.
Question: Can we be hands on with the horse?
Answer: Yes! You’ll be up close and personal with all our Gypsy Cob horses. Enjoy lunch in the fields with them and get to witness the herd dynamic. Don’t worry if you have someone who’s nervous of horses. RLR is a great place to overcome your fears and spend some time with horses at your own pace, and in a way that makes you comfortable.
Question: Do you host birthday parties, or bachelorette parties etC?
Answer: Yes! We love a good party and we’re here for it. Let us know what’s going on, whether that be your engagement, birthday or even just a girls weekend away. We will make sure you have an amazing weekend and enjoy the stay at RLR.
Question: You mentioned shopping?
Answer: Yes! Who doesn’t love shopping! River Lane Ranch is just 45 minutes away from the biggest mall in North America! If you’d like to take in some shopping or visit our favourite western stores and boutiques we’re here for it.
Question: All things Gypsy Cobs …what do you want to know?
Answer: Are you someone who wants to learn about training and/or riding horses. You’ve come to the right place. You can enjoy the weekend around the round pen and watch new horses be trained under saddle and witness our entire training program. We’ll teach you how we bath and groom, spend an afternoon watching us do photo shoots or join one with our expert photographer Maureen Noce. (additional charges for photo shoots will apply)
Question: What Airport will we fly into?
Answer: You’ll be flying into Edmonton Alberta Canada. We are just 40 minutes away from the Airport. If you’d like to pair your trip to RLR with other Canadian vacations in the area let us know, we have some amazing sights you may want to take in as well.
